Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 8, 2026 (placeholder — confirm before publishing)

Template notice: this is a fresh-drafted starting point, not a finished legal document. Have qualified legal counsel review it against Nepal's applicable data protection and consumer regulations — and your actual data handling practices — before publishing.

This policy explains what information Shreenova Cloud ('we', 'us', 'our') collects when you use our website and hosting services, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors of shreenova.cloud and to customers of our hosting products.

1. Introduction

Shreenova Cloud provides bare-metal, cloud compute, storage, and related infrastructure services from facilities in Kathmandu and Pokhara, Nepal. Protecting the information you share with us — and the data you store on our infrastructure — is foundational to that business, not an afterthought bolted on for compliance.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three general categories:

  • Account information you provide directly: name, email address, company name, billing address, and payment details when you register for an account or purchase a service.
  • Usage and technical data collected automatically: IP address, browser type, pages visited, approximate location derived from IP, and infrastructure telemetry (such as resource usage on your instances) needed to operate and bill for the service.
  • Support communications: the content of messages you send us through the contact form, email, or phone, retained so we can respond to and follow up on your request.

We do not access the content stored on your instances or storage volumes except where necessary to diagnose a fault you have reported, respond to a valid legal request, or investigate a suspected violation of our Acceptable Use Policy.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Provision, operate, bill for, and support the services you sign up for.
  • Respond to support requests and account inquiries.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, and security across our network.
  • Send service-related notices, such as maintenance windows or billing issues.
  • Send optional product or company updates, only if you've opted in (see Section 4).
  • Comply with applicable Nepali law, including tax and financial record-keeping requirements.

4. Cookies

Our website uses a small number of cookies: strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management, and optional analytics cookies that help us understand which pages are useful. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings without affecting your ability to use the site's core functionality.

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell customer data. We share information only with:

  • Payment processors, solely to complete billing transactions.
  • Infrastructure and software vendors who support our operations under confidentiality obligations (for example, monitoring or ticketing tools) — none of whom are granted access to the content on your instances.
  • Government or law enforcement authorities, only in response to a legally valid request under Nepali law, and only to the extent required.

6. Data Security

Account and billing data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to customer records is restricted to employees who need it to perform their role, and administrative access to production infrastructure is logged and reviewed. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify affected customers without undue delay if we become aware of a breach affecting their data.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and billing records for as long as your account is active and for a period afterward as required for tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes under applicable law. Support communications are retained for a reasonable period to maintain service history. You may request deletion of your account data subject to these legal retention requirements (see Section 8).

8. Your Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Withdraw consent to optional communications at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 11.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for businesses and individuals aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor without appropriate consent, we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate, communicated to account holders directly.
